day 25 - 30: photo challenge

We are back! We had a blast while we were gone... so much fun in fact that we were too busy having fun to take many pictures. So with that said my pictures aren't chronological... but they are here:

Something pink: 3 something pinks to be exact... Cori, the little lady, and Addi on the last day of our trip!

A close up and from a distance: in reverse order... as Addi gets better at crawling!!

days 22, 23, & 24: photo challenge

So several days rolled into one
First Hands

These hands are getting so big so fast... I want to remember them... how they pull on everything, how they grab my face, and how they play peek-a-boo.

And finally tomorrows challenge an Animal
Our animal is Audi (after the car... long story!).  She is a 5 year old boxer...lover of sleep, protector of our girls, and couch potato when we are not home!

So I am a day ahead because tomorrow we are headed to my parents for a wedding and then our annual mother/daughter trip.  This annual trip started out as just my mom and myself going to Chicago before the start of each school.  Over the years it has changed... for the best!  This year it will me mom, me, my two girls, my sister-in-law, and her little girl and Minneapolis instead of Chicago.  I love this time we get to spend together and I know how lucky we all are to have such a special relationship.  I am praying already that I can continue to have a special bond with my two girls like the bond I have with my mom!!
So with that said... I will continue taking pictures over the next week, but might not be able to post them until we are back home... so don't go any where... we will be back!!

day 21: photo challenge

Both girls are sleeping right now and I should be packing for our annual mother/daughter trip... but I also wanted to get this checked off my to do list...
a faceless self portrait:

Randy and I often joke that if he would have know how messy I am he might have thought twice about marrying me :) but I am pretty sure he had fair warning!!
This is our kitchen table... it is a mess... most days it looks something like this, until dinner time when I push it all aside. I am pretty messy too... organized chaos! I always know where I put everything... well almost everything (at the moment I can't find the monkey leash that I have for Cori- leash is a bad word... it is a monkey backpack where the adult holds the tail)
My current mess is a picture of who I am... it shows were I am in my life right now:
pool bag because I am on summer vacation
baby toys because I am a mom
red wedges because I like to be a little fun and funky (the only things I put on the table for this pic, they were laying on the floor next to the table)
a Cori painting because I like to think I am an artist
shopping bags because I am the family shopper (whether I want to go to Walmart or not!)
grey comfy sweatshirt because I like to be warm and snuggled up with the people I love
my Pepsi is because every girl needs a vice
and
my keys because I like to travel (and I'm getting more excited about driving the man van)

It has been a long couple of day so this is going to be short and sweet!

Cori's orange dress... I didn't even ask... she told me she wanted to wear orange to church and I couldn't argue!!

Your shoes:

They might be MY shoes but SHE wears them all the time...

She wears them all.
I think sometimes she wears them more than I do.
I love that Cori loves to wear my shoes!!

day 17: photo challenge

Gotta love technology... right?

... well maybe not today...
Go figure the day I have a challenge to photography technology is the day I have issues with my technology!
I love having my laptop and a cell phone... some days I can't image life without them and other days I wish I could get rid of them... especially when Cori started pretend play with them!!

This was my day... lucky for me Randy was only a phone call or text away to tell me it wasn't anything I had done or could do... but the system was down.... which was good news... because otherwise my tech minded hubby would have been walking me through all sorts of crazy solutions over the phone!!
